Single Chip Wringers
Chip Wringer / Spinner for Chip Processing
Chip wringers use centrifugal force to extract residual coolant and oil from metal chips.
Incorporating a chip wringer or centrifuge aids in the reuse and recycling of scrap metal, coolant, and other cutting fluids. All Jorgensen and SFH chip spinners are designed for continuous use and low maintenance. Inside the chip spinner, centrifugal force pulls metal chips up and over the bowl’s edge. Meanwhile, residual moisture exits through slots. Automatic cleaning, via a compressed air system, eliminates blockages in the chip wringer bowl to further reduce maintenance.
Single chip centrifuges provide moisture reduction and coolant/oil reclamation in various materials including aluminum, magnesium, copper, brass, steel and other metals. These metal chip wringers complement Jorgensen and SFH’s other chip processing equipment to provide complete chip handling systems.
Jorgensen offers two single wringer options. The ES500 handles up to 660 lb/hr, and the ESD1000 handles up to 1653 lb/hr. Both models dry chips to a moisture content of 4% or less. Double chip wringer options are also available to reduce moisture content to 2% or less.
